I saw the previews for this movie several weeks ago, and I put it on my list to see. We are in the big city this weekend, and took advantage of seeing it for a matinee. I doubt our local cineplex will be showing this one for awhile.
The story was a funny/sad satire of Hitler’s youth towards the end of WWII. The main character wanted so hard to be a good Nazi, but you watch it fall apart. The “Anne Frank” side story changed his whole perspective. JoJo’s imaginary friend Adolph Hitler was nothing you would expect.
The innocents of youth, proves no matter how hard you try, you can’t rush a child into adulthood. My favourite quote from JoJo’s friend Yorki (who was amazing by the way) said: “I just want to go home. I need a cuddle”
I recommend with four bags of popcorn,
