Wow! It is hard to believe that this is how the Joker I knew from growing up on the Batman TV series, (played by Cesar Romeo with Batman, Adam West ) came to be.
I remember the TV character being so crazy!! He has also been portrayed in more recent films in a similar fashion. Tonight, in this very dark look into his past, it finally makes sense on how he came to be. This is not a happy movie. And another movie with crazy clowns this year has made me permanently afraid of them for life.
Joaquin Phoenix was amazing in this role. Although, at times I thought he was really getting into his character too much. I hope he doesn’t end up the same way Heath Ledger did after playing the same role. I do hope Phoenix gets an Oscar nod for his performance.
I am giving full marks for this film.
